These are the days.

When I first got engaged, I went on a search for blogs of engaged women, and I found quite a few. And now they're all married, and here I am, feeling like the last one but really not, because many other bloggers I read, and many of my readers, have gotten engaged in the last year, so really I'm just the next in the chain.

I can hardly believe that our wedding is THIS WEEK. If anyone asks me when the wedding is, my answer will be, "On Saturday." I've been watching the 10-day forecast, which has vacillated wildly but seems to be settling on mostly sunny with highs in the low 60s, which is the best we could hope for this time of year.

I didn't think about the wedding all weekend, because I was busy with my French family. On Saturday I took them to see the monuments and the White House, and yesterday I took them to the shopping mall. My feet are killing me, but it was nice to have a whole normal weekend with nothing wedding related whatsoever. And I did get lots of sleep.

Torsten did not come out with us, because he has tons of work to finish before we leave for our honeymoon (in a WEEK, when we are MARRIED), but he did find the time to go for a quick walk with the camera:

My work is also crazy--we have a huge deliverable due before a contract runs out on Thursday, and I'm managing the project, which is basically killing me, plus I have to get all my normal stuff done and in order before leaving for two weeks. The timing sucks, basically, and I haven't had time to breathe at work. Luckily I had the foresight to schedule a massage for this evening, because I think I'm really going to need it.

Here are things that aren't going to happen again until we are married:
  • Our milk expiring.
  • A staff meeting at my office.
  • A credit card payment.
  • Renewing my birth control.
  • Sleeping in.
  • Sunday.

You have such an interesting way of looking at things (e.g. the bulleted list at the end of your post). I can't wait to see photos of how that carries over to your wedding!

  19. wow, really?!? THIS WEEK?!? Wow!

Perhaps you wouldn't have to renew that birth control, like, ever, if you wanted to....

Just, you know, saying; in case you have too much on your plate.

  21. I love your list. I remember doing that with both my pregnancies, when I was HUGE and ready to DROP THAT BABE any moment. Especially about the milk. I was so excited to buy milk with a date that was post-due date. Hee!
