AND my hair was a mess.

So, yesterday was pretty much a crappy day. The unexpectedly long drive on Sunday meant that we got back to DC very late, and I only got six hours of sleep, after a weekend that was totally fabulous but somewhat lacking in the sleep department. Yesterday morning I woke up still completely exhausted, and my shoulders were aching from ten hours of holding them in the same position on the steering wheel, and also I had a stomach ache that did not go away all day. We had a proposal deadline at work and so I could not even go home early and collapse on the couch in the fetal position until my stomach got better.

Plus, Torsten was busy at work, and our invitations, which got messed up at the printer, did not get fixed because he didn't have time to go to the printer with the replacement cards. And I went downtown to run an errand but the store I was going to was closed for remodeling. And then I thought since I was downtown, Torsten and I could go look at tuxes (which we STILL haven't done), but he had too much to finish up and then the tux store was closed.

I was totally exhausted and my stomach still hurt but I was hungry but could not figure out what I wanted to eat. We finally got home and we had a notification that we'd received a package, which I knew was our guestbook. I was super excited to see it, but when Torsten went downstairs to pick it up, the package room couldn't find it. They signed for it, so if they can't find it they'll pay to replace it, but it's still driving me nuts that it arrived at our building and yet WE DON'T HAVE IT.

But on the plus side, today is my first wedding dress fitting, and I'm very excited about that! And also, speaking of dresses, I'm pretty sure that I've picked out my rehearsal dinner dress. Thoughts?

And then we watched the Olympics, and then went to bed early, and I got lots of sleep, and the proposal is pretty much ready to go, and Torsten and I have plans to go tux shopping later this week, so now I'm starting to feel better. Also I was feeling very fragile, but Torsten was very sweet and comforting, and didn't even mind when I busted into his office nearly in tears all traumatized over my bad day, and later gave me a back rub that did wonders for my sore shoulders, and really, all things considered, things could DEFINITELY be worse.

  17. You are so on the ball, heck, you are so ahead of the ball with all this wedding planning. You need to remind yourself that when these freak-out moments bubble up. Because, we just did our tux shopping last weekend and even we are ahead of the game. And our wedding is a couple weeks before yours. It'll all come together, despite the little dips in the road. And you're going to look beautiful in that rehearsal dress - awesome!

  23. OH and a friend of mine who just got married told me that she was perpetually about 65 days behind TheKnot.com's countdown for her and the wedding still went off without a hitch and was superfun. You have a dress and a boy, the rest will fall into place.

I think my wedding is a month before yours, when's the big day exactly? That's not in your Top 5 post = )
