Callum and my sister's baby, Morgan, haven't met yet, and I'm dying for it to happen, mostly because they're cousins and they should know each other but also partly because they're on opposite ends of the growth chart and I am just dying picturing the cuteness of Giant and Bitty side by side. In the meantime, I have to be content with photos of them in their Bumbos for comparative purposes. These were taken on the same day.
These babies are 1 month, 3.5 inches, and 8 pounds apart. It doesn't sound like that much (except maybe the poundage) but the difference in how far their heads and legs protrude from the Bumbo is pretty striking, at least in my opinion.
Can't wait for these two to meet in person! Hopefully sooner rather than later.
aww, 2 cuties!
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, it is kind of astounding how tall Callum is! Wow. Do we know how much he weighs? I can't remember if you've told us.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting that as babies, a few months can make such a difference, but eventually they'll both be 8 year olds or 25 year olds or any other age and that difference of a few months doesn't matter at all. The development during those first few years is just astounding.
Oh, how fun for you guys! I have so enjoyed my sister having a baby just a few months younger than Jameson. It's awesome. And yeah, what Stevie said: it's so crazy now to see the difference a few months makes in size and development, and then think about how when they're both in high school those months won't matter at ALL and it'll just be, "Yeah, they're both 16" or whatever.
ReplyDeleteOh, close-in-age cousins are the BEST. Now you just need to wheedle your sister into moving to Denver & you'll be all set.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't help but chime in with Stevie and Sarah--it always amazes me to run into kids I first knew when my kids were babies and I'm either "wow--but weren't you AGES older than Helen? And now you're in kindergarten too?" or "I thought you were YOUNGER. And here you are riding your bike and spelling Leprechaun with the best of them!"
So cute! My niece is a tall one too and I keep forgetting when I see other babies that she's in the 95% range. I manage to avoid asking if other babies the same age are even growing. But just barely!
