Nursery photos! FINALLY.

The nursery is done! Literally, truly, wholly done. The last thing we were waiting for was a print of one of our maternity photos to frame, and now that has arrived and we've hung it. And every little detail is in place.

And that means that, at last, I can show you photos of our work. You guys, this is the first room that I have ever DECORATED, like with a VISION and a PLAN. There's no theme, per se, other than "turquoise walls and yellow accents," but I am SO HAPPY with how it came together. Torsten and I both love this room. So does Montana, for that matter. And we can only hope that Piglet will as well.

Let's all just refresh our memories as to how the room looked when we got started:

And here it is now, from the very same doorway:

And another angle:

Prints from one of my favorite Etsy sellers:

Decals over the crib:

And the bookshelf (that stuffed lamb on the top shelf belonged to my uncle Michael, after whom Piglet will get his middle name):

Now all we need is a baby, and then the room will REALLY be complete.

  28. So I don't think I've commented (much) but I've been following your blog forever (is there a non creepy sounding way to say that?!) but I needed to tell you how absolutely GORGEOUS that nursery is! I am in love with those colors together. I love love love how you got a perfect balance of not being too babyish and not looking too grown up. Perfect for a baby, but it will also be perfect for a little boy too. It really looks like something out of a magazine!

  36. This is so lovely! Do you mind sharing where you got your white dresser and bookshelf -- we are doing white furniture as well, but the dresser has been hard to find.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Emily: Of course, I'm happy to share! The bookshelf is from Target (currently on sale!), though I should warn you that it is sliiiightly off-white and therefore not quite the same shade as the other stuff, which doesn't bother me at all but would probably bother some people: http://www.target.com/Mori-5-Shelf-Bookcase/dp/B001U4ZSZM

The dresser was a splurge (and a gift from my parents), from Land of Nod: http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=42&f=5125

I hope that helps! Have fun shopping!
