Oh my god! That's horrible! I had no idea that drinking out of a straw can cause someone to get so much air into his or her body.
ReplyDeleteOh Jess, that sounds awful! I woudn't have made the connection either. I too had no idea that drinking from a straw means getting more air inside your body. It makes sense, I suppose, but it just isn't something I ever really thought about. I'm glad you did make the connection though, so hopefully you'll never have to go through that again.
ReplyDeleteOh yikes. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteWow, how awful. I'm glad you got through it, and I guess learned a lesson. Will the "rules" regarding drinking with meals and using straws be a permanent part of your life or is there just a certain duration during which you have to adhere to them?

ReplyDeleteHoly geez. That sounds ridiculously awful. But hey, look at this way, it'll (maybe?) prepare you for your first trimester of pregnancy. ;-) Seriously, though. What an awful way to spend an afternoon, I'm so glad you weren't horribly food poisoned or anything like that!
ReplyDeleteOw! And ew! And oh my!
ReplyDeleteThis kind of makes me wonder though about all of those toddlers drinking out of straws because they can't handle the glass.
OMG that was HORRIBLE!! But at least your OK. Btw, it's so funny cause I will not drink A N Y T H I N G if it's not trough a straw. LOL
