Are you guys getting sick of the "this past weekend we went somewhere gorgeous really near our house" posts yet? Because if you are, well, I'm sorry, but we do live in Denver.
Also, thank god we had such a nice and relaxing weekend because wow, is work ever killing me. Seriously, I have 30-40 pages to edit every DAY. My head is about to explode. Luckily our road trip is coming up soon because boy do we ever need a break. Both of us. Like really bad. (And I'm pretty sure Montana needs a break too. All that lying around and playing at the dog park can really become exhausting after awhile.)
Anyway, my point is, this past weekend we went to Breckenridge, where we ate at the brewery, walked around the town, admired the changing aspens, and hung out by the lake. It was truly lovely. I wonder if I'll ever become blind to the amazing beauty of the place we live in.
Of course, as usual, we took lots of photos (full set here).
That last one is a serious contender for a holiday card, if we do go for a photo card. What do you think of this one compared to the one by the red rocks?

This recipe sounded delicious to me when I came across it, and it turned
out that it was. Also, I've reached the point with cooking where I can make

Love the pic in this post for a holiday card. The red rocks one was very nice, but for some reason, I love the totality of this photo for a seasonal greeting.
ReplyDelete- Mon
Isn't Breckenridge cute? I went to a wedding in Keystone a number of years ago and spent an afternoon in Breckenridge.
ReplyDeleteAs far as photos go ... I say the red rocks one is better. It shows a closer photo of you, Torsten and Montana (which is really what people want to see). Plus, this second option ... well, I'd edit out the dirt patch in the foreground before making it my pick. =)
great pics! I like both for a holiday card, you can make some with a collage of photos, you might like that option since you have so many nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat's it, I'm totally coming for a visit.
ReplyDeleteAnd might I say you are looking fabulous lady! :)
I love Breckenridge, beautiful! Have you guys visited Vail at all? Similar, and also gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAs for the pictures, I'd go with the Red Rocks. I like the idea of the picture showing your little family more than the background.
I guess fall just make the areas around your city prettier :)
ReplyDeleteI like this one because Montana looks so alert!
ReplyDeleteI like this one! I like it better than the red rocks. This one is really really nice.
ReplyDeleteI send out cards. Used to be of me and Blanca- now we have a daddy we have to include. i love to send them.
I love both the photos, but I think the lighting in the one by the red rocks is better. This one there is a shadow on your faces - but both are cute!
ReplyDeleteAnother idea is to do one of the collage photos - maybe include just a photo of scenery near your new home? I know snapfish has one that looks like a film strip with space for a message on the side.
Of COURSE it got beautiful as soon as I left. Humph. I like both pictures, but I think it's easier to see you guys in the red rocks one.
ReplyDeleteLove Breckenridge! Such a great place. B and I are doing our leaf tour this weekend and Breck just made the list of possible destinations.
ReplyDeleteNot going to lie, I'm sometimes immune to the beauty of Colorado. I've never lived anywhere else, but taking a quick drive up to the mountains usually puts me back in a grateful state. Love the pic for a holiday card!
You live in such a beautiful area!! I think either one of those pictures would make awesome Christmas cards or another option is getting those pictures printed out with the Happy Holidays and sending them in a card.
ReplyDeleteI love your first two sentences so much.
ReplyDeleteI like both photos. Both show your (1) new family (2) in your new place.
I love Breck! Get ready for some awesome snowshoeing in the winter too! I think this one wins for the holiday card because I just love the little sailboats in the background. :)
ReplyDeletearg, I have yet to get up in the mountains and I miss it!!
ReplyDeleteBoth pics are cute of you and T but the red rocks in the background definitely takes the cake.
Beautiful pics! I would love to live near the mountains; they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI like your other holiday contender photo better (it has a bit more color; this one looks kind of like ice in the background while your other one just feels "warmer.") :)
Water and mountains?? BEAUTIFUL! Hands down use this picture!
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful place that I'd travel over the weekend, too. I'd love to visit that area also, someday. Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteI like the other picture better - this one is too small of you guys, I think.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd be good with either one. The red rocks shot is somewhat clearer of you guys, but this one includes the place as important to you, if you want to say that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe try printing them out about the size they'd be on a card, and mock up what it would really look like?
These posts make me want to visit even more so just keep it up. You might want to check out a great local band called Eleanor (they are on My Space for a listen). She's a fellow blogger and I just met her this past weekend.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get sick of it and I was there for three years....
ReplyDeleteRed Rocks is a bit better (but both are great). :-)
Hands down this one wins!
ReplyDeleteI think the 1st one cause in this one you guys are kinda dark and further away.
ReplyDeleteAnd NOOOO, I'm not tired of these posts. I love them, I have never been to Denver but it looks soooooo beautiful. BTW who takes your pictures? you? They're freakin awesome!!!!! Especially that 2nd one there... WOW
